Great ugly series and Yadi should have been mvp not the little man. But Go Cardinals!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second, very fun weekend. After getting out of work a little too late to make it to St Louis, my wonderful girlfriend went out with me Friday to find the one Cardinal bar in Chicago (that's even though she's a cub fan, now that's love). Said Cardinal bar was WAY too crowded even an hour and a half before game time. So we wondered down a little to a strange little place, the front was normal cool wood bar then the back was old school down home style cooking place, great food. After that and not being able to get into the Cardinal bar, we ended up slighly down the block at another bar called Gamekeepers, there we found 2 bar stools, bass and amstel light on tap and about 18 TV's all on the game. Not very crowded when we got there but as the game went out it became the offical overflow bar for Cardinal fans, became packed and the poor only 3 employees working were swamped. All in all a fun fun night with the Cardinals winning the world series!!!!!

Sat was chill, I do miss this night back home. I didn't even say Happy Extra Hour at 3 O'clock Bar Night to anyone. No Curve for me, no shots of Jack, no cheering at the clock either, oh fun sat in october of past. Oh well, Chi-town is still a cool fun place and it's not even freezing today. The new job goes very well but I still miss a few things from down south, here's to cheap wings, big 2.50 beer, harrys, pinball, and x-mas shopping trips on said sundays.

Patience grasshopper my ass

Go Cardinals!

Living in the home of tasty pizza

So blogworld, time for an old school one paragraph update:

Summer was fun, lots and lots of baseball, season tickets were great. Then got a new kickass job in Chicago. Before I moved Sista got married. Labor Day weekend moved to Chi-town. Josh was the most awesome help to move. Yay for Josh and Amanda's friends who helped. Living in Chicago now, still getting used to it but I like it so far. Had some fun, my work one Friday tried to "initiate" me with shots. Ha. Had fun being a tourist. Cardinals worried me tons and tons but still backed into the playoffs as division champs. This weekend is good, visitors, baseball, then tonight Bears/Seahawks game. Should be fun. Will be in good ole st louie next weekend for divisional playoff.

All in all, life is good and Amanda still rules.

April ruled!

So april was a great great great time. Today I was ready to buy my new car: a 2005 Solara Convertible. I checked it out yesterday, got a price quote, and then went back this afternoon with my dad. We took it for a test drive, really liked it, and went in to buy it. While waiting for them to come back with how much my car was going to be for trade in, the sales guy comes back out and says, "I made a mistake, that price I quoted you is for a different car, a 2006 hardtop. You're car is $6,000 more" My dad and I were shocked, and I was pissed. All ready to buy then they say that. So i'm already very pissed, and I go to grab my keys (they took my car out to get an idea of the value) and I hear the manager guy finish a sentence, "Well, they should have known the price was wrong." Yeah, I did know the price, and the first price they quoted was a little under blue book value which is expected since this was a 2005 with 29,000 miles already and a few scratches to the paint. The "new" price is 4 grand over blue book. I did my reasearch, thought it was a good deal, all ready to buy, and then BAM, "sorry that's not the price, you should have know that, you idiot". screw them. My dealer was a nice guy who actually liked car shopping with, and probably just made a honest mistake, but screw his boss, his attitude and Green Toyota on Wabash.

And I was already to say bye to my baby too.....

In other news, my grandma rules, got to talk to her for about an hour to day. Love her. And Amanda rules for putting me in a better mood. It really sucks for everyone but why do people keep insisting it looks like New Orleans after Katrina. It doesn't look like it at all for one reason and one reason only: THERE IS NO STANDING WATER EVERYWHERE. Rant over. Hopefully everyone who had major damage can get back on their feet quickly. Our close family friend Tinker has major roof damage but it looks fixable, so that's lucky. No one else I know had major damage. Darcy's lost their big sign, but nothing else so they should be ready to serve WAY too many people on St Patty's. A big tear for the barrelhead too, hopefully they can tear down and rebuild quickly so I eat their yummy tater tots.

Sat St Patty parade is postponed a week. Thanks to that I now work this Sat and next Sat, making 5 Saturdays in a row. Oh well, money money money. And it should help the bar be busier both Friday and next Sat since people won't take it easy Friday now to start early Saturday, yay for bar logic!

GO ILLINI! 6:30pm Thursday vs Air Force, come watch at Browns! $2.00 Imports and a sexy bartender: ME!

And I think this ends my longest blog post in a long time. Carrolton Station is still there, still great. Lots of food places I love gone :( So glad I had the bestest girl with me to kiss at midnight though. The drive wasn't too bad, Memphis gave me more rap music, yay.

Time for resolutions: Go to more Cardinal games.

That is all.

(should be easy with season tickets and all)

Oh yeah, I need to know who would be interested in going to Harrah's in St Louis on Feb 17th to celebrate my birthday. Downloaded around 5 new songs, good times, haven't heard new rap in a while. Stay Fly by Three-6 is a great song. Going back to my ghetto roots.

The past weekend was really good. X-mas party for the Bank, complete with hot girl on my arm was pretty fun. Got nice and tipsy for the first time in quite awhile. Sat was laid back, Nattie's b-day, only made her do a shot of vodka instead of Jack this year. Kristine and her are the only ones I have not made do Jack now. I think I'm getting soft.....

Sunday's are just GREAT!!!! K and myself once again did our usual thang, even closing down Harry's. Amanda joined late and help us shop once again. Glad I'm so entertaining to shop with.

Working both jobs on Monday's when you feel like total sick crap sucks. But my Dad rules for taking over at the Bar so I could get to be earlier. And Amanda is so great for taking care of me.

Today I'm not feeling great but not feeling as bad as Monday, so went to the parents house for dinner. Yum! Tomorrow I hope to get some X-Mas shopping done, yay for stress over presents! Hopefully I can pick up a chair, a kitchen table, end tables, coffee tables for my apartment this week too. It's not bad living with a couch, bed, bed table, and TV. At least the fridge as plenty of beer.

They shot up the Chicken Man in Philly last night

First night off from the bar (besides Sunday when it was close, doesn't count) since last Tuesday. Feels pretty good, got off work, had 2 beers served by the hottest bartender at Fridays, came home. Long day at work, going to have a long one again tomorrow. I actually have about 3 different projects to work on, i feel like a real "real life" worker now. I'm going to do a loan analyst for the loan committee next Tuesday. Once I do that I'll be very tempted to demand more money since credit anayst make more money than I do.

Enough about boring real life work. The Cardinals lost 2 members of last years team today/yesterday. Mabry is with the Cubs now, and Nunez signed a 2 year deal with the Phillies. Hearing all sorts of crazy rumors now too, just hope the Cards end up with at least one quality corner outfielder, a good bullpen guy, and if they are very lucky one more starting pitcher.

Just want to say life is great, even if I'm getting totally burned out by the bar for the first time. Oh well, family business and good money. I'll get used to the not sleeping and it shouldn't be as bad after the holidays are over. And who knows, just takes one insane fun night working with great tips to make me declare it's the best job ever again.

Now a public service announcement: For anyone else in blogging world that cares, Farah is getting her masters and to celebrate she is having a party at the Bar on Dec 17th (Sat) at 8PM until we close. Come on out that night and do a shot of peppermint with her!

Farah speak and other things

So Shoo's comment on my previous post made me laugh. Ah, sitting around talking about the perfect guy for Farah would have to understand her 95% of the time. I was around 85% and Shoo was something lower. She does need a translator most of the time in "real life." Each different screech of "Eddieeeeeee" could mean, "Hi Ed, it's 10PM and therefore shot time, I need a peppermint", "Ed, when are we going to Saputos I need a chicken salad", "Ed, I need to talk to you about stupid guys", "Ed, I know you don't know this.....", or even "Ed, stop making fun of me". Then there's the "you knows", the "thingys", and other terms that have over 100 meanings. I love Farah and Farah speak. Hopefully Jeff can reach the magical 95% for her sake.

In other real life news, the crazy bar week is over. Not as busy on Friday and Sat as past years but still good money. Now I must spend this money on X-Mas presents. Yay for the stress of trying to pick out presents. I really suck at that. Either one works for me, once again tired and body exhusted. Good good times of running non stop for a few hours. Love the money though.

Hope everyone enjoys their family/food day. Such an great time of the year besides the coldness of the midwest. Great to see all my family and all the random people who said hello at the bar last night. Sorry I didn't have time to chat even for a few seconds. Eat too much turkey, pie, and cookies!!!! That's an order for everyone. If you're bored later come on down and watch Shoo and me do our thing as the sexiest bartending duo. Sadly I don't think there will be any drunken shopping Friday morning. My partner in crime PhilO is out on the WESTCOAST (the shitty wet part of seattle, but WESTCOAST nonetheless) and the stores don't have anything that makes me want to go out in the cold, but that could be since I looked at the ads sober this year though. Great bartenders who would remember what you drank, served you quickly and walked away. Could always find a barstool too. Too trendy now and actuallly making money now, so sad. The Hilton was great back in the big drunken groups with sister, matt, you, other employees, shoo, K, and of course drunk farah and bailey falling into the band. 3AM's just are not as good as they used to be, must be getting old or something. At least no one is dragging me to Chantily anymore.

Ah, the last night before the storm. Tomorrow is a 17 hour work day. I'm planning on doing very little at the bank to prepare for the insanity. I love working the crazy crazy days, at least this one won't be as bad as the St Patty's day 12 and half hour shift. But money rules!!!! Thursday night after you are full of Turkey come see Shoo and myself (TSBDIN) at the bar. We will be the poor poor souls working on a holiday, tip us well!

Got more stuff for the apartment from the super walmart, thank god for Amanda. But for now, the reigning champions are Shoo and myself. We outlasted the supposed hot Dempsey bartenders, Drew at Two Bros sadly has passed his hot stage (although is he my favorite bartender), and who really goes to other places anyways. Shoo and I are suppose to worry about people who work at hotel bar. Please, just a glorified holiday inn up there, no worries from us here. And Jeff like I said over your blog, drop the light weight from the competition. Shoo and Brad while possible worthy contenders against each other have nothing on us. Maybe we should invite my mom along and both be put to shame. However this must all wait and truces be called until we make mucho mucho money on this the greatest bar week of the year. I do have a bed and a bed frame now, should be getting useful stuff like shower curtains, window curtains, and any other curtains you need in an apartment. hopefully be all moved in and what not by Sunday. we'll see, i'm lazy, hate to pack, and don't have time.

Grandma is here. Makes me happy. Love her, going to head to see other fam on sat, then work the bar with the taller not as bald one. should be a nice night, then once again crazy thanksgiving week. One of the few perks from working the the job is I finally got to experience a Friday off from a real job yesterday. Strange how cool that is but how normal is was for me back in the day. Got to sleep in and stay in bed all morning, that was definately the hightlight of the day, then off to lunch at Darcy's with Amanda. One of the bad perks about the new job is the lack of lunch at Darcy's on a regular basis. Ended up downtown once again, big surprise there. Actually made it to 4 different bars again and for the first time in about a year had a good time at Marleys, go figure. Tonight is the sexiest bartending duo in town at Brown's. I love it. For my first complete winter back since my senoir year of high school, I hope it stays warm.

Great great great great last week and weekend. Not too much sleep but everything was well worth it. Last Friday K, Shoo, and myself checked out Andy Lee's improv show. Good times besides the lack of crappy but overpouring bar service this time. Afterwards we did our drinking thing until too late. Even made it to 4 different bars for once. Sat was dinner with Shoo, chatting and laughing about nicknames, then hung out at Fridays drinking tasty Bass served by one hot hot bartender :). Afterwards downtown, and a thanks to Shoo wanting a change of pace, heading to the Hilton as our 3 o'clock (where for the first time ever we had to pay covers, which made K not a happy camper, at least there was a hot blonde). Sunday was the normal Sunday but with Fried Turkey at Harry's replacing the second order of wings from Showme's. Draft beer for all. Love the new Sunday thing with K and myself. 3 weeks in a row now, we'll go for four this week. This week so far has been a blur of awsomeness and work. So going to be the death of me, but I will go down in a blaze of crazy fun and take someone with me.

Tomorrow the return of "the early birds and all nighters" as K and I reinact spring/summer 2004. Since Kyle seems to be pimping his own blog again, to basically himself on this crappy blog i bet he notices first.

Life's changed quite a big since my last post. Baseball season was just starting back then, the Cards had another great year that ended crappily in the postseason. Went to way too many games yet again, made to chi-town for another cubs/cards game. Once again was at the postseason and even made TV at the final game of the year. Said goodbye to Busch by getting some cupholders and dirt. Also bought season tickets for next year, so i'm finally a complete crazy cardinal fan.

During the baseball season, I went to Biloxi, New Orleans, saw one of my best friends from Tulane get married in Houston, went to Alaska for June, and then moved back to good ol IL. Had a fine fine summer. In the fall I lost a girlfriend and found a regular normal person bank job. Started as a temp and I'm now a normal bonafine employee with benefits and everything. So far don't like the normal hours thing but it's going well. Still employed at the Bar, the sexiest bartending duo in town tore it up as the Mario Bros. last Sat for Halloween. Great night.

Moving into an apartment next week. Guess real life has finally caught up with me for a while. Can this be the end of my traveling and globe trotting??

I'll never know what she was running from

So it's been a little over a week since my last post, and I'm in the middle of doing my taxes. They are such a pain with my stock, ira, money market accounts. Just tedious not hard or anything. Oh well, recap time: The Illini lost in the national title game. Had their chances the last minute and a half but Williams or Head couldn't hit a three like they did all year. Great season but sadly Williams will leave early and the team next year probably won't be in the national title hunt. Oh well, more importantly it's BASEBALL SEASON!!! The Cardinals started the year off right with a victory over Houston on Tuesday night. Home runs by Edmonds, Walker, and Sanders got the year going the right way. I will be at the game this Sunday against the Phillies. Can't wait, some of the best memories of last year were at Busch Stadium. Let's go for another NL championship and hopefully a better World Series!

Saw Sin City last Friday and LOVED IT! It was so much like the comic books it's crazy. Just incredible performances by everyone in the movie. Great action, dialouge. Definately the best movie I have seen so far this year and maybe better than anything I saw last year.

Also life plans seem to be changing again. No comment right now because life plans are never long lasting with me, guess I shouldn't call them life plans. Well that's it, work the Bar thursday, no plans for Friday, then Merf's b-day party on Sat. The first one I will be able to attend after missing them for 3 years. Should be a kick ass time.

Arizona still sucks

So life has been a blast the last 2 some weeks. Farah in Florida ruled besides her eye. Got to see 2 Cardinal spring training games. Baseball is coming soon!!!!!! Then flew back home on St Patrick's day. Worked the Friday and the INSANE Sat day and night. Worked 11 hours that day and it wore me out. Chilled like a villian Sunday, then off to Nashville for a few days to continue celebrating Jessie's birthday. Good music, drinks, and a visit to the holy land (Jack Daniels distillerry). Which was one of the coolest tours I have ever seen. To think every shot of Jack I have done came from that little place in the middle of a dry county. Back home on Wed to work Thur/Fri. Thursday was good with the Illini cruising to an easy win and then for only the second time in 13 years (the first was with final four tickets on the line) I rooted for the hated Arizona Wildcats. There were some great customers in the bar who had a large amount of money on Arizona in a NCAA Calcutta pool. Even though I also lost a dollar to K with Arizona winning, it was still fun to watch people double their money. Sat was my night off and it started with heading to the bar to watch the Illini. Man what a game against my least favorite college team of all time. Incredible comback that almost killed my mother. She is the most nervous person with sporting events of her teams (basically Illini sports and the Cardinals). They won and are off to the Final Four next Sat at 5pm. Come out to the bar where I'll be working and opening early for the game. Going to try to come up with some drink that is very very orange for the games. After the Arizona/Illini game it was a bar hopping affair with Jessie, Jessie's friend Shannon, Jessie's cousin Andrew, Kyle, G, Rich, Kirsten and others randomly at bars. Tons of fun until the top of the hilton, some smoke and climbing down 30 flights of stairs. Ah, back to recapping my life in one paragraph, feels good going back to my blogging roots.

If you're ever out West son, and you feel like slowing down, I'll see you around

Well today was very constructive. Got hotel rooms for 2 trips, flights for another one, Cardinal spring training tickets, and some basic plans. I have tons going on in the next few months with very little worry about a real job. I'm going to be broke by July it looks like, so that will be my settling down time. I saved enough to do what I want this spring though plus a few weeks working at the bar over Easter when everyone is on vacation. Damn, I am enjoying life.

Today was a beautiful day here. Mid seventies and sunny, perfect laying by the pool weather which is what I did between playing travel agent for myself, friends, and family. I love the weather here, a day like this when I hear about people in IL digging snow from around their tires makes me realize why I came in back in Jan. Hopefully when I return in a week the weather in IL will be nice until the next fall. That would be just perfect. No freaky April snow please.

In Cardinal news, pitching head case/super prospect Rick Ankiel decided to give up on pitching and focus on being an outfielder. What a crazy idiot. Good thing this doesn't hurt the Cards at all really. They lose a 3rd left handed arm out of the bullpen, and a guy who was supposedly Cy Young material but who was mentally unable to compete at the major league level. Ah, backstops no longer must be aware. Rest easy Ad's behind homeplate, you're safe now.

I've been looking for ya baby, I've been looking for ya baby

So I'm bored, might as well blog:

It's been over a week since my last internet post. Not too much happend before I left besides a kickass benefit for a close family friend with cancer at the bar. We raised a lot of money for her. Since then I once again did the treck to florida this time in a brand new car, not my braking down in ATL baby. The new Camry drove nice, had great pickup and I made great time. I once again did the Nashville then Atlanta stopovers.

Nashville was a blast on Friday. I stayed with Emily again and her sister was also in town. We went barhopping like mad and had many beers but not as many shots. Good times down on music row. That morning I set my alarm for 8AM. Woke up extremely confused about where I was and why my alarm on my phone was going off. A light bulb appeared and BAM: CARDINAL TICKETS!!!!! I bought 11 games worth, sadly I won't be able to make it to 3 of them I bought: The red sox and 2 yankees games. Hopefully can make a bit of money off them to offest the fact that I almost spent a grand on tickets. Tons of bleacher tickets though and 4 whole Cub games. Also catching Giants, Astros, and an opening weekend game. Doubt I will make it to as many games as last year but we'll see. Baseball kicks major ass.

Back to the drive. This time in Atlanta I stayed with my old roomate from Tulane Abe. Highlights include a free Burrito from Chipolte for wearing a Georiga Tech shirt, showing my fighting game dominance on Soul Caliber 2, and a whirlwind tour of Atlanta bars. Went to East Atlanta, Downtown, 5 points, and some other places I can't remember. Shots were consumed and the night ended at the Bar a block from his place with 24 cans of good old Pabst Blue Ribbon. So good it won a ribbon once.

Florida so far as been shrimp, nice weather, and a reunion with My Baby for 2 great top down days. With a little Cha Cha dance lesson and some drinking to boot.

GO CARDINALS!

My blog isn't dead..... yet

let's see a weekend blog entry means a weekend recap. Friday was a night off and was filled with not one but 2 meals with the K man. First was an old school lunch with Philly and K at Belicino's. A few summers ago K and I went to said eating establishment around 2-3 times a week. Not so much anymore, but always good grinders and convos. After talking about how crazy I have become again (or just always stayed) and speaking on Philly's normalness in his (which is crazy in it's own way) I went out to visit Jessie who still was slightly feeling the affects of Thursday. Helped move a giant freezer into a truck and hung out for a bit before she headed to work. That night went to Taco Bell with K to enjoy Spicy Chicken in many forms. A usually converstation occured when leaving: "So what to do you want to do?" "I dunno, head to the bar?" "Sure." and we were off to Browns. A laid back evening full of H2O for me since I wasn't feeling well and had to work the next day for the Bar Stool Open. Sat was working said drunken putt putt for charity event. Decent day not nearly as busy as years past but still did okay. Got pretty damn sick by the end of the night though. A few cocktails at Norbs and the Top helped with Monica, K and Jessie. I got to see buzzed K again, been awhile with his crazy lent giving up. Besides waking up pretty sick today a nice normal relaxed happy weekend.

Guess I haven't killed the blogger in me yet, maybe I'll even learn to commicate through comments better some day.

Here's more!

Evidently my mini-blog isn't enough....

Let's see, I guess here's the sort of life plan (which is completely and udderly bound to change) as of today:

Next Monday/Tuesday head back to Florida driving Me-Me's brand new car with a stopover in ATL. Then Farah visits Florida in March for about a week. I head on back here on March 18th, staying until sometime between the 6th and 12th or April. Possible new life situation on the 20th. Sometime while home kick ass plans for a birthday. Biloxi for Rob and Robyn's birthdays the weekend of the 15th, Becky's wedding in Houston on the 23rd of April. Then heading back here complete with My Baby for May. Until the first week of June where I head to Florida again to head to Alaska. Julyish = hopefully some sort of job with benefits and not being completey broke (fat chance with all I have going on). All in all, I'm way too damn busy but will be home tons. Everyone enjoy me!

Need to figure out some small details in all that but I know I'm going to be driving tons, and maybe even a U-Haul at some point for grandma.

I'm a bad blogger

So it's been a week since my last post. I'm lazy once again about blogging but at least this isn't once a month right now.

I had a GREAT birthday weekend. The wonderful Jessie (with the help of Shoo in assoication with Mojo's) threw me a surprise birthday party. You know it's a good surprise when everyone says surprse and you still don't realize what is going on. Fun fun times with even a cookie cake. Whooo hoooo. Sat night was excellent in bloomington, not going to try to recap that one as Philo (http://knowyourrole.blogspot.com/) already did the best you possible could.

Other than that, just hanging around, spending time with a wonderful person, great friends, working 4 nights this week and thinking about life too hard. Also planning a trip to Alaska in June with grandma and family. Now that will be an excellent time!!

She's likes the way the sand feels beneath her feet

So Martini Day was great, the day after Martini day was even better and then we have today which hopefully will continue the upward trend.

Not much in the bloggin mood today so in case people are wondering here are my plans for the weekend. Friday is dinner with my father and then bar hopping like a crazy mad man with anyone that wants to come along. Should be a lot of fun. Sat is looking like I'm heading to Bloomington with K for a mini old fanshioned K/Ed roadtrip to meet up with other people and celebrate Laura's B-day. K and myself have had mucho excellente road trips, Indy (2), Kirksville (2), NOLA, back and forth from bloomingon many many times, Champaign, Chitown, and of course I guess our random drives at 3, 4AMish kinda count. Anyways, I had a good time up in blooomington for Laura's birthday before so should be fun if i'm not feeling too bad from Friday. I wonder if there will be a a van this time.....

Happy Martini Day!

Ah, Feb 14th, Martini Day and Matt's birthday. Pretty good times had on this day the last few years although I didn't celebrate the "normal" holiday people do. Started my Sophmore year with Nick when that morning he put on his traditional all blue outfit for the day and I decided hell, it's almost noon let's have a martini and that started off a pretty drunken day for me and thus martini day was born. Last year I returned from my world hopping adventure today. Sweet memories from that trip and the fun night everyone had hearing about it and drinking me back hom. This year I have plans to go out to dinner with my "wife", Farah. It will be oh so romantic, confuse people, and in effect be her "last meal" since her dad is coming to town.

This past weekend was a blast. Sat night was a lot of fun seeing everyone again. Browns was still the same besides Mike not doing a shot with me. Mojo's was great with Posamist, everyone there, and Farah pouring aerial shots. Missed the social life mucho from Florida. Sunday night I went with my Dad to the bottom of the Hilton to see Dave Alvin. It was a great band and a good time. My Dad's ecceltic taste in music for once lead me to something pretty good.

Happy Martini Day! may I suggest a Ketal Up with a twist of lemon (33% chance you'll get it made right, unless you're at Browns where there is a 100% chance it will be made correctly tonight).

I shave a cranium that ain't quite shaped right

Ah, crazy mornings. Woke up freezing today, it was like 50 outside and we still had the air on. Family is running around. I forgot how little kids can be so hyper. Not sure what the plans are for today, don't feel like doing much, probably end up thinking too much. That's what happens when I don't have anything to do, good thing I'm in a decent mood so it will probably be stupid happy thoughts. Maybe I'll end up like last night drinking and watching horrible movies on my aunt's fancy cable.

Soon, I believe a fight will occur. Not a fistfight but the other kind. Not looking forward to this one at all, but it's going to happen soon. The past year has just been little fights over the same thing and it's probably going to come to a head soon. My ideas don't mesh well into their view of the world and life evidently, and their view has affected me way too much. An explosive combo I guess.

The last view days have been full of talking. I've talked a majority of my great friends accross the country. From Tulane and from home. They have helped me figure a lot out and returned the confidence I should have in myself, so thanks.

"Full grown, finally a man, just scheamin on ways to put some green inside the palms of my empty hands
Just picture me rollin, Flossin a Benz on rims that isn't stolen
My dreams is censored, my hopes are gone
I'm like a fiend that finally sees when all the dope is gone
My nerves is wrecked, heart beatin and my hand is swollen
thinkin of the G's I'll be holdin, picture me rollin"

Thanks 2pac, you know how to describe my life perfectly.

Mama didn't raise no fool, mama raised a smart boy like me

So mom's in Florida now along with my cousin, his wife, and 2 kids. They just got back from Disney so the kids are still hyper excited. I'm writing this watching them swim in the pool hoping they don't splash my laptop. Such a rough rough life I live down here in Florida. It's sadly only upper 60's right now and sunny. Luckily the pool is heated. Well enough taunting....

Yesterday was a pretty introspective day for me. Ended up talking to a bunch of good friends spread accross the country getting insight into my life. I think I know what I'm going to end up doing but just going to play things our and see instead of planning. Planning never ever ever works for me. Plans always fail. Reminds me of a quote from the movie: The Way of the Gun. "A plan is a list of things that don't happen." It may because I'm lazy, but most likely is because I have no clue what I want to do in life or really any major goals. Oh well, it's been damn fun so far in my life, why change? For everyone curious I'll be home Sat night making it downtown to the bar around 11:30-11:45 so come on out and party with the man who hasn't even been gone a complete month. woot woot!

Ed Fest 2005 part deux coming soon.......

The Florida/Mardi Gras adventure feat Jessie, PhilO, a German, and a Brit

So the vacation from the vacation known as my move to Florida is over. I had such a wonderful time the last week. Starting in Tampa picking Jessie up, then a great day at Busch Gardens. A long drive to NOLA that night that ended with a few drinks at Carrolton Station. Then an uncomfortable couch, and an even more uncomfortable mattress on the floor (which somehow got better as the weekend went on), awaited us at my old roommates place. Friday PhilO and the foreigners came to town. Met us for Po'Boy's and pitchers of beer. Then off to the parades where once again the beads become crack for everyone and they can't get enough. After the Friday parades we ended up joining "Kwewe de Oak" Which is a mini parade uptown done by many drunken people dressed up riding in golf carts, low rider bikes, or just dancing. It's more of a bar hop than parade so it ruled and even had a girl dancing with fire sticks. Sat was Endymion the huge huge parade. Phil enjoyed it while the foreigners found a bar and sat inside all night drinking double jack and cokes. Sadly outside it was cold, I ended up feeling like crap with a huge headache, and there was no fifth chicken this year. No V formation this year :( Jessie, who was worried about not getting any beads, ended up with a huge bag of about 15 pounds. And she wondered why I laughed when she would ask if she was going to get any beads.

Sunday we started back to Florida planning to stop halfway between NOLA and my aunt's place (my cousins, uncle, and mom all were down here so there was no place to sleep back at my aunts) but the damn superbowl in Jacksonville made finding a decently price hotel difficult. We ended up north of Tampa before crashing. Then a day of laying around the sun on the beach Monday, a great dinner that night, and meeting up with an old high school friend of Jessies at the Gator Club. Tuesday was eventful because taking Jessie back to the airport we hit a huge traffic jam after a major wreck on a bridge. She almost missed her flight but got there just in time.

Overall the past week kicked major ass and was one of the best times I have had in a while. Weather in Florida was great, the drives were fun, and Mardi Gras was still a blast (although the beads seemed to have lost a little of their addictedness on me gotta still love the pardades)People shouldn't be allowed to enjoy themselves so much in a short timeframe!

Fun!

So today was great! Drove to Tampa picked up Jessie to start our journey of the southeast. Good day all around not doing too much. Went to Ybor City for lunch and then some drinks and just hung around places in Tampa. Tomorrow is Busch Gardens if it doesn't rain and then off to Mardi Gras. Let's hope for nice and sunny 75 weather in NOLA just like here today. We went swimming at night tonight and it wasn't cold. Ah, great not to be in snow. Probably won't post at all this weekend, don't miss us!

"Take a shot of hennessey, now I'm strong enough to face the madness"

Craziness

So this morning has been very eventuful. Took my aunt to her real doctor today who basically said the emergency room completey screwed up everything. Waited to long to see her and told her things to do (like soak her foot) that she really shouldn't be doing. She made need IV's this week and even is still in danger of losing her foot. Hopefully after tomorrow's doctor apointment for her there will no more problems. Also, no Disney world for her, my mom is flying down early now to take her place and help grandma with my cousin and his kids. Disney is mostly prepaid so my mom has to be my aunt for reservation reasons or they lose the trip.

In non scary Ed news, tomorrow Jessie flys in and we start on mystical tour of the southeast US. I'm so excited! Going to be tons of fun at Busch Gardens (as long as it doesn't rain) then the joy of collecting the 5th and final chicken from Mardi Gras over the weekend. They will finally be flying in a V formation. Now I must run and pick up Jack and 2 new tires to complete the total fixing of My Baby.

Pain and Suffering in Sarasota

Yesterday afternoon my poor aunt impaled her toe on a rusty garden tool. It was a claw looking thing to turn up the dirt (Philly would know the proper name) and one of the blades went right through her toe. I had to pull it out right after it happened and rushed her to the hospital. Rush to the hospital is funny because when we got there she had to wait in the waiting room for 2 hours before anyone looked at her. She's in a lot of pain right now but they say she'll be better in a week. She needs to be better by next Monday because my cousin Ryan is coming with his 2 kids and wife and they are all going to Disney World.

Other than rusty spike news, I took My Baby back into the shop this morning. Just a quick tune up, mainly spark plugs. My grandma is having them do a complete check on my car since she always gets so worried when I drive anywhere and I'll be doing plenty of driving starting Wed with picking up Jessie in Tampa for the week o' fun. Busch Gardens, Mardi Gras in NOLA, randomness, nice weather, beaches, jacuzzi's and pools, and who knows what else. Whoo hooo!

Also this afternoon/tomorrow should be step one of Ed's new life plan which is being finalized right now. I'm visiting a condo that would be an investment/part time home. More life news when I figure everything out, since my life plans have had ways of never happening as planned.

Lazy, lazy Sunday

So it's Sunday, haven't done much today. Laid by the pool for a bit in the nice nice sunny 78 weather. Ah, I heard it snowed on my poor hometown yesterday. My Baby and I are glad we're not there for that :) Also went shopping with my grandma a bit. Yesterday ruled actually. Cleaned up my aunt's garage then early bar hopping with her and spent the night just having cocktails with my grandma and chatting until almost 2AM. Caught her up on everything in my life and started my real plan now. It's coming together and once I figure out everything I'll let people know. I think it's going to work and combine favorite parts of my life. Well that's enough, I'm suppose to be lazy.

Top Down Day!!!!!

It's been a while for My Baby and myself but today was an old school Top Down Day. Just spent a few hours driving around the city casually shopping in 75 and sunny weather. Felt so good. Driving around on days like today is one of my favorite things in the world. It relaxes me, takes all my stress and worries away for a bit, and just puts me in a great mood. Good start to this Friday. I love the days here even though my nightlife is still kinda sad. Today hopefully I'll meet more people, going downtown with my aunt at 5 to go to her radio talk show, and then off to a bar and I think I may just wonder down to the few bars on Siesta Key (it's the island my grandma and aunt live on, it's a part of sarasota just right off the coast). It's been strange to go from crazy good great social life to almost none besides random unattractive waitresses talking to me yesterday. At least I have beautiful weather, a jacuzzi, and plans for the next month to go Mardi Gras and back home. Oh yeah, I will be coming back late on Feb 12th, staying through my birthday (Ed Fest 2005 part deux). You say "a visit arleady? but it won't even be a month!" Well someone has to drive grandma's car back to Florida from IL for her and since I'm home might as well spend my birthday there. So I'll get to do the 1200 mile drive again, whooo hoooo! Good thing I love driving and my grandma's new car is really nice. Everyone enjoy their Friday night!!!

You want useless quotes, fine you get useless quotes! Now my grandma and aunt have been screaming since early this morning. They are cleaning the house to prepare for an insane amount of house guests then next few weeks. And they both go a little nuts about it all. They have a huge house but not enough room still for all their stuff to be put away nicely. Freaks them out, not too much fun for me as I try to help and stay out the middle of arguements. Luckily when I visit they don't flip out like this, and once tonight hits everything will be all good. This weekend I get to help them. A dumpster is coming this weekend so my aunt can finally clear out her garage. I'll get to take apart an entire giant wooden shelf thingy with my non carpentry skills. At least the MG will finally be uncovered, now only if my aunt can convince the authorties it's not stolen, she might be able to restore it yet again.

Other than that, my car is totally clean, running good, and enjoying the topdown weather. I really think she hates winter more than me, so the move hopefully will prolong her life. I also started jogging which is going to be a daily thing in the perfect weather of Feb here. Evidently I've lost weight the past month. Go figure, driving across the country will car trouble is good for your health. Today's plan besides cleaning is to go shopping for things I need/forgot to bring down. I also need a car tarp that's easy to put on on off to stop the rain leaking into My Baby.

Ed Fest 2005 part deux coming soon..........

In Florida.....finally

So today was the final drive to my destination: Sarasota FL. Woke up early, said bye to Grind, then off to the newly fixed My Baby. She actually ran pretty good and I made excellent time. Even got to stop at Whataburger for a tasty double whataburger. Sooooo good. Also got on a huge 2pac kick today driving. Luckily he has enough music for the little over 8 hour drive. That and a little country radio. Once I got here I sure enjoyed the close to 70 sunny weather. Not sure how I'm feeling about Florida yet. Kinda bombarded with a bunch of different things once I got here. Oh well, I'll take a few days to clear my mind and see which things are real or not. Other than that, it's great seeing my grandma and aunt. They welcomed me with a champaign toast when I pulled up at 4:30ish. Good times.

"Oh yes I love her like Egyptian, want a description, my royal highness /So many plusses when I bust that there can't be no minus"

Oh yeah, since I listen to so much music on my drives get ready for tons of posts ending in song lyrics, most of them will make no sense and a lot of them will be 2pac even though that one is Outkast. Be warned, I was known to really confuse people back in the day with away message song lyrics.

"I'm cooler than a polar bear's toe nail"

Take good care of My Baby

So My Baby is running good again after way too much money. Don't think she's worth it, but alas I'm always a dumb ass when it comes to women. Tomorrow is the final 9 hours to florida and to grandma who was worried sick about me and My Baby. On a good note, when she started up the first song I heard on the radio was by 2pac!!! It's actually one of my favs and since I'm gone now and such a thug it's appropriately called Thugs Get Lonely Too. I'll leave you with a small snippet:
I call you up long distance On the telephone / I wanna tuck you in Even though I can't make it home /I whisper things in ya' ear like you're near me /Wonder if you feel me from far away or can you hear me

Something's wrong with My Baby

So I'm in the ATL right now hanging out with Carlton. I thought I was going to be taking off for Florida tomorrow, but with the way my car is running and talking to people it looks like I'm going to have to take it to a mechanic tomorrow morning. I hate taking my car in since I know very little about them. Not having knowledge about something drives me crazy since I can't be in control or even evaulate what's going on. This is something I need to do though. I was hoping I could make it to Florida and worry about things there but that doesn't look like it's going to happen, it would suck to get stuck somewhere in Southern GA. I really hope this isn't the end of My Baby. She's still my first and only car and I'm really attached to her. I also really don't want to spend the money on a new car now when I'm trying to settle into a new life. It would throw a lot of plans out the window if I need to spend that money. Ugh, other than that I have been having a great time on my trip down. Nashville was a lot of fun with mechanical bull rides and random nashville bars. Seeing Carlton is great, we've just been doing things just like old times back in Springfield. Had some of the best Chicken Wings last night and he showed me around town. Pretty cool place. Also finished up some fun fun fun fun plans for Feb now too, so life is good besides My Baby, who hopefully will be fixed quickly and cheaply.

On the road again

So I'm in Nashville, don't have much time so this will be a quick update. Going to be in Atlanta tomorrow, but first off to a bar with a mechanical bull, i'll probably fall off in like 2 seconds. Other than that, crazyness in the fam over my grandma's new car and i'll be the one to drive it home from IL most likely. So you may get to see me for a few days in Feb now. Whoooo hoooooo!!!!! The next time you hear from me will be from either Nashville, Atlanta, or Sarasota FL. Looking forward to the drive and visiting old friends on the way down. It should be a good time.

Just want to tell everyone in town I'll miss you all way too much and you are always welcome to visit me or most accurately use me to stay with my grandma and aunt. So many fun fun memories of the past year and a half in Springfield. Not even going to try to list them. K did a very good review of our friendship of the last 5 years. Made me smile. It's my vote for best blog post ever.

They say you don't know what you got until it's gone but I've been thinking about it before I'm gone. Hope that makes sense to people. Just strange feelings running through me about tons of things. Good thing that a good majority of them are great happy fun feelings. The town I swore I would NEVER come back to after high school has treated me so damn good over the past year and a half, I'll miss it. Good luck to everyone in whatever you end up doing in life, and I'll see you soon as long as alligators don't take me out first.

"If I could give all my love to you
I could justify myself, but I'm just not coming through
You're a pill to ease the pain of all the stupid things I do
I'm an anchor on the line of a clock that tells the time that is running out on you
Well it was cold when I woke and the day was halfway done
Nearly spring in San Francisco but I cannot feel the sun
you were sleeping next to me but I knew that you'd be gone"

I can't seem to make up my bed, much less my mind

Or even pack.....

That's the entire plan for today until around 7ish. PACK PACK PACK. I really really must pack, so I think if I type the word pack a hundred times maybe I'll actually put my PS2 in a box. Ugh, everytime I plan on moving somewhere I always wait until the last minute. Hell if it wasn't for my Mom, Dad, Aunt, Grandma, and 2 cousins helping me pack up from Tulane I may still be there with half empty boxes thrown about. Then there was after my sophmore year where I left 3 days late because I didn't pack in time. Why am I so lazy about this? I should have started this earlier, but I had a social schedule, a 3 day festival to organize, drinking, and people to see. Pack, pack, pack. See everyone tonight for my final night going out. I shall be at Browns for a bit, then off to Mojo's for a holiday party. You can consider it a bonus day of Ed Fest if you want.

C is for Cookie, Z is for Zombie

So yeah, sorry for the lack of updates but Ed Fest 2005 kept me busy for the weekend. Way way way too much fun seeing everyone. The bar hop went very well, including a trip to New Berlin for the Still to see Posamist. That rocked, Spammy's rocked, Harry's rocked and Norb's rocked. Yesterday was the final day of Ed Fest. Started at Jessie's watching Zombie movies, Dawn of the Dead and Shaun of the Dead. Good times. Shaun of the Dead is so damn good, so similar to what my life would be if zombies attacked (not the fast ones mind you, the dumb slow ones, you're just screwed if they are the fast ones). I highly recommend it if you like romantic comedies feat zombies.

After the movies and having beer spilled on my sock, we headed downtown to Mojo's. Everyone seemed to be in a pretty chill mood so we just had a few drinks there then went to the Alamo for another drink. Even left before 1AM. Still a great night including a very introspective moment for me. In the Alamo, the Counting Crows song Anna Begins comes on and he hits me. I just start to think about the course of my life and what I am doing now. I just sang along quietly while everyone else chatted away. Looked back into myself, my ideas, my plans, and my actions. And in the very end I just got a big goofy smile. I love my life, my friends, my opportunity, and the fact that if this doesn't work out for me I have a place to come back to where they won't care if I'm back and will welcome me like nothing happened (besides a few alligator jokes). It's nice to have a good base when you're taking another leap. (and damn do i sound like a hippie PhilO, the expert on hating hippies?)

Nights I can't remember with friends I'll never forget

Well I remember last night but don't be too sure of me having recollections after day 2 of EdFest 2005, the bar hopping adventure. Last night was sooooooooooo much fun! Thanks to everyone that came out to my party and special thanks to the old coworkers who were stuck working and taking care of my drunkness and mess in the back :) Lots of shots, beer, and then some top of the hilton, woot woot. Not sure what the exact plan is today besides a list of bars and a roadtrip to New Berlin to see a band I could see next door. Probably start around 8ish at Millies, then off to Spammy's, then Harry's, then the Still (New Berlin), then most likely downtown. Give me a call to track me down to meet me.

I'm on my way, don't know where i'm going, but i'm on my way

Damn fine night of last night of working last night. Come in and see me as I shed a tear making my last Long Island or Jack neat. Also training Mandi tonight to become a brand spanking new bartender, so it should actually be pretty fun. Kind of weird after over a year and a half of this to be thinking it's my last day, but who knows what will happen. I remember 3 other times I declared a night at the bar to be my final one ever. St Patty's 2003 that I flew from NOLA to work when I knew I was going to get a job right after school and not come back home, X-Mas Eve night 2003 when I knew right when I got back from my trip to Australia and New Zealand in Feb I was leaving right away, and that random night in June when I was sure I was getting the job in San Diego. So if you see me back slanging drinks by April don't be too surprised, espicially if alligators overrun Florida like Shoo predicts :)

Get a Little Mud on the Tires

Ah, country music and their "slang."

So ever since X-Mas really I have been having a series of just great nights (minus the occasional work related crap), and last night was once again a damn fine fine night. Dinner with Shaela at Suzi-Q's to catch up and everything. Then to the bar meeting up with Farah, Shoo, and K. Monica, Jessie, and Mike were working. Mojo's for 2 seconds, then back to the bar where I hung out, chatted with some random people and lo and behold Mike Patche walks on in. Have a shot with him and a drink then off to the Curve. Ran into Lisa Badger, I now have a new picture of her cute daughter. And then I see Neil, my best friend from back in the day. Shot and drink with him laughing about old times and old stories. Always nice to see someone from my past like that since I lost touch with people I hung out with back in early high school. Shout out to crazy old black homeless woman Neil and I gave a drink to, and got the best picture ever with on Bourbon 3 years ago.
FPC for life!

Ed Fest 2005

So Reier the other night came up with a name for my weekend o' party. Pretty good one too. Here's the plan for anyone that's curious. Friday starting at 7pm until late late late at the bar is my official party. Sat shall be a barhopping extravaganza, complete list of bars coming later this week. The Sunday is movie day followed my the return of Reier opening Mojo's on Sunday for like the millionth try. Hope I see you at one or all 3 :)

Last night was a pretty good night at the bar. GREAT TIPS! Session was in which is always nice, then I got a huge bump from a Birthday Party. You know if someone tips on their free birthday drink they work in the service industry. After this girl gave me 3 bucks for the drink I asked her and she said they all work at the Olive Garden. Needless to say they drank quite a bit and tipped very well. Made the most I have on a Monday in almost a year. Whoooo hooooo!!!!!

I also am very smooth with kisses on the cheek. Damn straight. (I'm such a dead man)

Secrets!

So I guess the new blogging trend is to be cryptic and secretful. Sadly Shoo's credits me with being cryptic first. I only am because I'm too lazy to type whole stories out. As for secrets, if only Shoo and I could share what we know of the world, i.e. how to be the sexiest damn bartenders ,and our secret love machine fuel (i'll give you a hint, it's rhymes with Tack). But alas if we did that everyone would be as cool as us and we ain't having that. Damnit shoo, we could give Mojo's bartenders a run for it's money in the swimsuit competition. I hear from Melissa that your ass is award winning. Well enough of incohent crypic rambling.

Here's a weekend recap, Friday=way too much fun, Sat=work which was okay if not on the stressful side, after work Sat=fun, Sunday=fun besides the packers losing. Dinner with Farah and Melissa, then off to downtown for partying with Farah and people. Saw tons of people, Shoo, Reier, Robbie, Anna, Jeff, G, Rich, Kirsten. I learned from Kyle it's cool to drop names, people like it. Top of the hilton was pretty slow at the end of the night, I stopped drinking around midnight so I was able to drive. Now I don't have to worry about collecting my car from downtown today before work. Oh yeah, the bar tonight is the sexiest team of bartenders ever, Shoo and myself. A little something for everyone: one with hair, one with no hair, one taller, one shorter, and both are extreme love making machines. Come see us and best door guy in town: K! (who also may or may not be a love making machine, he doesn't tell, secrets are just too damn good to spread)

Oh yeah, welcome Jessie to this crazy blogging blog world. It's just the cool thing to do or something.

Bonus Cardinals update: Here's this year's lineup barring injury:
1. Eckstien SS (Free agent from Angles)
2. Walker RF
3. THE MAN 1B
4. Rolen 3B
5. Edmonds CF
6. Sanders LF (Two years in one city is nuts for this guy)
7. Grudzielanek 2b (free agent from the Cubbies, who my sister says as the best eyes in baseball)
8. Molina C
9. SP Mulder, Carpenter, Suppan, Marquis, Morris (when he gets healthy, mayish)

Not quite as power packed without Renteria and some defense and leadership is lost from Matheny leaving but should still be the best everyday offensive lineup in the NL. Gotta hope the starting pitching stays healthy and the bullpen kicks ass again even without Kline, Kalero, or Haren.

A dreamt I saw you walking up a hillside in the snow

So I've been on a Counting Crows kick for a while. Posamist actually does a pretty damn good acoustic version of Murder of One. Shoo's hosting some MP3's of them if you're interested.

Still haven't done much to get ready to leave besides planning my going away party and barcrawl. The party is Friday the 14 at starting around 8-9ish at the bar. The barcrawl will be on Sat night. Good thing I've been planning my last few days drinking instead of packing. It's strange, I'm very ready to move on, very ready to be near my grandmother who I haven't seen since late summer and miss her a lot, but I've built a pretty good life here. Great friends, fun times, good steaks, milkshakes, donuts, and cookies, fun secrets, random road trips, and a hunk of family I love to hang out with. I just know that I need to run away for at least a little bit. I'll never get anything done here with the bar always there for me to make enough to cover my meger existentce. Plus I hate cold weather with a passion.

Still I don't know how this will all work out. In a perfect world I get hired right away, set up a nice little apartment or house and start out with real life Ed who will own 2 dogs. Don't know if I'll even like real life Ed or even want to become him yet. Don't know if I'll just fall into a funk down there, let my grandma convince to just travel for a while more, or just end up moving on somewhere else or coming back home again. At the very least I'll be near my favorite person in the world and nice weather, so I'm looking forward to it. Just worried.

Back from NOLA

Happy New Year everyone!! Hope everyone had a great time. The Phils and I made it safely back from our weekend trip to new orleans. New Year's Eve was NUTS! The burning x-mas tress made a 30 foot cool fire which we ran around, ran through and other stupid nonsense. Also fireworks, the phils, and drinking are perfectly safe combinations, we still have all our fingers. Just be careful if I'm in a firework building mode and your house is down the street. PhilO also got to experience a wonderful new orleans park in the form of a car ride over a curb into said park at 2AMish. Such fun and crazy times, you'll have to ask me about more stories.

Other than that, made a few New Year's Resolutions, none of which I plan on keeping more than a month most likely. I suck at those trying to improve my life things. Now just around 2 and a half weeks left before I take off for Florida. Going away party is now being planned for Friday Jan 14th. The date is pretty much in stone but the actual plans may vary slightly, keep tuned to Theed's blog for more information.

Oh and check out Shoo's predictions for the new year, www.gotshoo.com. I found them very funny (and probably true).

Cookies!!

The one thing that is always good for Christmas time and after is the insane amount of cookies everywhere. We still have 3 kinds of chocolate chip cookies around the house from various sources. Such a great holiday! So overall Christmas was pretty good. Laid back during the day then INSANE at the bar. I mean really busy, Shoo and I busted our asses to get the drinks out leaving us exhusted the next day. Made good money, and even had a good time at 3rd Base, which is my normal x-mas late night drinking spot since the 2 x-mas nights I wasn't out of town I went there (it was known as Rosalie's back then though).

Hope everyone has recovered from the holidays and has good plans for new years. It's Phil, Phil, and me heading to NOLA on Thursday for the weekend. Evidently people in New Orleans get together at City Park on New Years and have a huge bondfire with their used x-mas trees. Should be fun and smokefilled.

Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!! Whooo hooo, evidently all the crap about making him a non-tendered free agent was that the Cards wanted to pay him less than they were allowed to. If you tender a free agent you have to match at least 80% of his last salarly (1 mil for So). But the cards got him for the bottom barrel price of $550,000. In other Cardinals news, they have signed relief pitcher Mike Myers, who you may remember from the Halloween movies.

In real life Ed news:
I did get all my X-mas shopping done by the 21st of Dec, the earliest I have ever pulled that off. It was pretty crazy out there at the stores. Not used to the number of women who were still shopping. When I would wait until Christmas Eve with my father every store would be full of the the typical waiting til the last minute male.
Went out Tuesday night, saw the Stillwagon turned Walkobinger family, Shoo, and PhilO. Nothing like spending about an hour at a 3AM bar talking about real life Zombie Strategy. Last night I was at the bar for the Illini, who won very sloppily and didn't cover the spread for the first time all year. But took it easy after that and was a good boy because I have a long weekend ahead of me. Tonight I shall be working the bar at 7 then going out so join me! Tomorrow is X-Mas Eve, so we will be open 3pm to 7ish or later if I'm having fun. Come on out and enjoy Christmas cheer and beer! (plus my mom as my waitress)

Say it ain't no mo SOOOOOOOOO

AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! The Cards did not resign SO TAGUCHI. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! He is now an offically a non-tendered free agent. That's is so totally not very soooooo taguchi of the Cards. Shoo and I will have to come up with a new catch phrase next year.

And PhilO no worries, the 19 year old catcher is Daric Barton, not Yadi. Mr. Molina will be the starting catcher of the Cards next year. In other Cardinal news, Dirty Hat Steve Kline signed with the Angels for more money than the Cards could match, and the Cardinals resigned Mike Lincoln, a relief pitcher who was hurt last year. They also failed to sign Cabrara who went 4 years 32 mil, a little to expensive IMO. So the cards don't have a shortstop yet, watch them get ageless wonder Barry Larkin. They still need a second basemen and a leadoff hitter too. Go Walt Go!

I'm all right, I just can't get home tonight

So Friend Becky was kind enough to link me, and wants me to post more often. K also told me that it is no longer cool to have a blog you don't blog in. So here's to blogging!!!!

Sat was chill, 12 Bars of X-mas early (it's a group that barhops, about 70 people coming into the bar at once) No worries though, I with super bartender Mike so damn smooth night. Sunday was Harry's X-mas party, that's a bar not a person by the way. K and I were there, like always great food and cold beer. Good good times.

Mark Mulder to the Cards. Sounds good to me. Only gave up Haren, Kiko, and a 19 year old catcher. Kiko will be missed with his good set up man skills and very cool name. I predict the Cards will be sooooo taguchi next year.

I also got my first X-Mas present of the year. Last week K gave me Jurrasic Park Box Set. It rocks, dinosaurs rule!!!! I think I should write a musical about Jurassic Park, but that's just me ripping off the Simpsons and their Planet of the Apes musical. That episode was on the other day, classic. Selma marrys Troy McClure, who you might remember from such films as "The Revenge of Abe Lincoln" and "The Wackiest Covered Wagon in the West."

Now, how's that for rambling K. LINK ME SHOO!

So Fridays are not what they seem........

I had my first Friday off in a while, so Shoo and I went to the Jr Blues game (along with Steve, and Katie) Good time even without fights, wish the 2 of us were in a more drinking mood though. I was still feeling the affects of the night before in St Louie. Nothing like a night of Harrah's, Cowboy Mouth, and 12 hours of drinking with my parents. To anyone that doesn't know, my mom can drink with ANYONE and my family when they really go out, they out party 99% of college students easily. Fun fun times there, plus even winning at Pai Gow poker.

Anyway back to Friday, went to the Bar, then off to Catch 22 with Farah, Bailey, Jenny, Shoo and Phil showed up later. Very laid back night that ended with Stella and the Top. Not exactly the jam pack nature I expect from a weekend night off, but I still had a good time though, got the conformation from Phil about New Orleans for New Years. Now that is going to be a damn good time.

Finally, DAMN IT SHOO!!!! trying to upstage me on my own blog!! But good recap of Nov. I don't think I could have done it better myself.

Oh yeah, yay for Friend Becky!!! Oh well, my little blog may not be as cool as gotshoo.com or K's but it's still the little blog that could. On to life:

Not too much is new, I did go to Washington DC for a week which ruled. Other than that just working at the bar still and planning my move to Florida in Jan. Can't wait to leave cold weather and winter behind. Sundays have now become movie night too for Shoo, K and myself. Saw Friday Night Lights, Mr. 3000, and The Incredibles so far. That's about all, if you want detail about my daily life I'm mentioned frequently in gotshoo.com or kylestill5.blogspot.com.

GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, it's time for the 5 minute monthly installment of Ed's life. So I was in Florida for a week and a half for Grandma's b-day, great time even with the hurricane coming right for me and cancelling my flight. I did get 2 extra days in florida though. Also planned the next step in life. Shoo, Philly, and myself are working on moving down to florida in early Jan. We'll see if it happens, shoo may drop out if he gets a fat job, but phil and I are probably 90% going. Other than that, it's the baseball playoffs!!!!! So far I have been at every home game for the Cards and have tickets to every home game in the NLCS, may even try making it to Atlanta if the Cards play them in the next round. I love baseball, just so much damn fun. Well that's enough, i'm not sure really if anyone but Kyle ever reads this, but now you have been updated. Maybe you'll even get two posts in oct.......don't hold your breath. GO CARDINALS!

So much fun, so little blogging

Well, here's my monthly small update. Crazy last couple of weeks, made good money with the week of everyday work with mike out of town, still rule at poker, fun with limo's, fun in indy, and met new people. Still trying to figure out what to do after Thanksgiving with my life, i need to get some health insurance, and convince philly he wants to travel new zealand working random jobs for a while. If that falls through, i'll most likley just end up in florida close to grandma. Can't really beat sarasota, with a beautful beach, nice weather, and plenty in the area to do. But alas my plans for my life haven't really worked out..... for example i should be going to the Cardinal game tonight against the Padres out in Cali, but some bastards didn't hire me back in late june. Oh well, still enjoying life in springfield, and later this month down to florida for grandma's 80th. Let's hope for no more hurricanes.

Look an update!

So I'm not very good at the whole updating my blog thing, heh, whatcha going to do..... Since my last one I have visited New Orleans, been to countless Cardinal games, been working and blah blah blah. Starting Friday I have my crazy work week of Fri, Sat, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat. So if you need me, I'll be at the bar. Not much else new at all, Job Search is kinda stopped, I want to make sure I can watch the Cardinals in the Playoffs. Nothing like basing your life on Baseball, but I haven't been in town for the Cardinals in the playoffs since the 90's and even then only got to one game. Well that's enough for my monthly update, see ya in september.

Second attempt......

Well here's the next attempt at this crap. The old one was short lived. Way too much going on in life that didn't really belong here. But I try again, hopefully help me keep track of my life a bit. It seems to be a blur most of the time. This week has been good to me, work on Monday, Spiderman 2 at midnight with K! on Tuesday, The Roots and 311 on Wed with Shoo, work Thursday, and now a whole entire weekend off! and 2 cardinal games in the next week! Life is good besides the whole not being able to find a job and move away thing but that will come. Oh, K and I have placed all top 10 scored on the Erotic photohunt at over 400,000, try to get on there, I dare you.
