They shot up the Chicken Man in Philly last night

First night off from the bar (besides Sunday when it was close, doesn't count) since last Tuesday. Feels pretty good, got off work, had 2 beers served by the hottest bartender at Fridays, came home. Long day at work, going to have a long one again tomorrow. I actually have about 3 different projects to work on, i feel like a real "real life" worker now. I'm going to do a loan analyst for the loan committee next Tuesday. Once I do that I'll be very tempted to demand more money since credit anayst make more money than I do.

Enough about boring real life work. The Cardinals lost 2 members of last years team today/yesterday. Mabry is with the Cubs now, and Nunez signed a 2 year deal with the Phillies. Hearing all sorts of crazy rumors now too, just hope the Cards end up with at least one quality corner outfielder, a good bullpen guy, and if they are very lucky one more starting pitcher.

Just want to say life is great, even if I'm getting totally burned out by the bar for the first time. Oh well, family business and good money. I'll get used to the not sleeping and it shouldn't be as bad after the holidays are over. And who knows, just takes one insane fun night working with great tips to make me declare it's the best job ever again.

Now a public service announcement: For anyone else in blogging world that cares, Farah is getting her masters and to celebrate she is having a party at the Bar on Dec 17th (Sat) at 8PM until we close. Come on out that night and do a shot of peppermint with her!

Farah speak and other things

So Shoo's comment on my previous post made me laugh. Ah, sitting around talking about the perfect guy for Farah would have to understand her 95% of the time. I was around 85% and Shoo was something lower. She does need a translator most of the time in "real life." Each different screech of "Eddieeeeeee" could mean, "Hi Ed, it's 10PM and therefore shot time, I need a peppermint", "Ed, when are we going to Saputos I need a chicken salad", "Ed, I need to talk to you about stupid guys", "Ed, I know you don't know this.....", or even "Ed, stop making fun of me". Then there's the "you knows", the "thingys", and other terms that have over 100 meanings. I love Farah and Farah speak. Hopefully Jeff can reach the magical 95% for her sake.

In other real life news, the crazy bar week is over. Not as busy on Friday and Sat as past years but still good money. Now I must spend this money on X-Mas presents. Yay for the stress of trying to pick out presents. I really suck at that. Whoo hoooo.

Generic Happy Thanksgiving Post

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone, or Happy Day After Craziest Bar Night of the year. Either one works for me, once again tired and body exhusted. Good good times of running non stop for a few hours. Love the money though.

Hope everyone enjoys their family/food day. Such an great time of the year besides the coldness of the midwest. Great to see all my family and all the random people who said hello at the bar last night. Sorry I didn't have time to chat even for a few seconds. Eat too much turkey, pie, and cookies!!!! That's an order for everyone. If you're bored later come on down and watch Shoo and me do our thing as the sexiest bartending duo. Sadly I don't think there will be any drunken shopping Friday morning. My partner in crime PhilO is out on the WESTCOAST (the shitty wet part of seattle, but WESTCOAST nonetheless) and the stores don't have anything that makes me want to go out in the cold, but that could be since I looked at the ads sober this year though. Surround Sound System Bitches!!!!

I think you better turn your ticket in and get your money back at the door

The best 3AM is the old Curve where people got stabbed and everyone would say when you went there, "isn't that place where someone got stabbed." Great bartenders who would remember what you drank, served you quickly and walked away. Could always find a barstool too. Too trendy now and actuallly making money now, so sad. The Hilton was great back in the big drunken groups with sister, matt, you, other employees, shoo, K, and of course drunk farah and bailey falling into the band. 3AM's just are not as good as they used to be, must be getting old or something. At least no one is dragging me to Chantily anymore.

Ah, the last night before the storm. Tomorrow is a 17 hour work day. I'm planning on doing very little at the bank to prepare for the insanity. I love working the crazy crazy days, at least this one won't be as bad as the St Patty's day 12 and half hour shift. But money rules!!!! Thursday night after you are full of Turkey come see Shoo and myself (TSBDIN) at the bar. We will be the poor poor souls working on a holiday, tip us well!

Got more stuff for the apartment from the super walmart, thank god for Amanda. I know nothing, live out of boxes and generally don't care. Got a nice pizza cutter, now all I need is a giant TV and a couch.......

One half of the sexiest bartending duo speaks out

For the record, the all time sexiest bartending duo was Lisa plus whoever was working with her that night. But for now, the reigning champions are Shoo and myself. We outlasted the supposed hot Dempsey bartenders, Drew at Two Bros sadly has passed his hot stage (although is he my favorite bartender), and who really goes to other places anyways. Shoo and I are suppose to worry about people who work at hotel bar. Please, just a glorified holiday inn up there, no worries from us here. And Jeff like I said over your blog, drop the light weight from the competition. Shoo and Brad while possible worthy contenders against each other have nothing on us. Maybe we should invite my mom along and both be put to shame. However this must all wait and truces be called until we make mucho mucho money on this the greatest bar week of the year. Yay for Thankgiving!!! No Snow on Wed this time!!!!!

I got mad friends with benzes, c-notes by the layers, true f-ing players

So new post time. My life is good, very good. Yeah, Shoo and I are in trouble in some way but oh well. Good weekend yet again besides lack of tips on sat with the sexiest duo in town. Sunday was once again the day o gluttony and I won at poker. woot woot. there is a new pinball machine at harry's, very cool.

Tried getting a couch, let's just say that one didn't work. I do have a bed and a bed frame now, should be getting useful stuff like shower curtains, window curtains, and any other curtains you need in an apartment. hopefully be all moved in and what not by Sunday. we'll see, i'm lazy, hate to pack, and don't have time.

Grandma is here. Makes me happy. Love her, going to head to see other fam on sat, then work the bar with the taller not as bald one. should be a nice night, then once again crazy thanksgiving week. Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat all working. You better come see me, or more accurately wave as I fly by making my 678th jager bomb of the evening. then drunk shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go Cardinals! Sign Burnett and Giles!!!!! oh yeah, congrats Albert and Carpenter. One is god and you know carpenter is my jesus.

I've been up all night, I might sleep all day

Life is great. One of the few perks from working the the job is I finally got to experience a Friday off from a real job yesterday. Strange how cool that is but how normal is was for me back in the day. Got to sleep in and stay in bed all morning, that was definately the hightlight of the day, then off to lunch at Darcy's with Amanda. One of the bad perks about the new job is the lack of lunch at Darcy's on a regular basis. Ended up downtown once again, big surprise there. Actually made it to 4 different bars again and for the first time in about a year had a good time at Marleys, go figure. Tonight is the sexiest bartending duo in town at Brown's. That's all that needs to be said, see ya there.

Top Down Weather in November rules

Wow, crazy weather in November. I love it. For my first complete winter back since my senoir year of high school, I hope it stays warm.

Great great great great last week and weekend. Not too much sleep but everything was well worth it. Last Friday K, Shoo, and myself checked out Andy Lee's improv show. Good times besides the lack of crappy but overpouring bar service this time. Afterwards we did our drinking thing until too late. Even made it to 4 different bars for once. Sat was dinner with Shoo, chatting and laughing about nicknames, then hung out at Fridays drinking tasty Bass served by one hot hot bartender :). Afterwards downtown, and a thanks to Shoo wanting a change of pace, heading to the Hilton as our 3 o'clock (where for the first time ever we had to pay covers, which made K not a happy camper, at least there was a hot blonde). Sunday was the normal Sunday but with Fried Turkey at Harry's replacing the second order of wings from Showme's. Draft beer for all. Love the new Sunday thing with K and myself. 3 weeks in a row now, we'll go for four this week. This week so far has been a blur of awsomeness and work. So going to be the death of me, but I will go down in a blaze of crazy fun and take someone with me.

Tomorrow the return of "the early birds and all nighters" as K and I reinact spring/summer 2004. I would try to describe it for you, but you had to be there. But of course then you wouldn't be able to decribe it either. Yay for blurs of memory!!

The long lost blogger returns

So I guess I'll start blogging again. No other reason then to see how long it's going to take people to notice. Since Kyle seems to be pimping his own blog again, to basically himself on this crappy blog i bet he notices first.

Life's changed quite a big since my last post. Baseball season was just starting back then, the Cards had another great year that ended crappily in the postseason. Went to way too many games yet again, made to chi-town for another cubs/cards game. Once again was at the postseason and even made TV at the final game of the year. Said goodbye to Busch by getting some cupholders and dirt. Also bought season tickets for next year, so i'm finally a complete crazy cardinal fan.

During the baseball season, I went to Biloxi, New Orleans, saw one of my best friends from Tulane get married in Houston, went to Alaska for June, and then moved back to good ol IL. Had a fine fine summer. In the fall I lost a girlfriend and found a regular normal person bank job. Started as a temp and I'm now a normal bonafine employee with benefits and everything. So far don't like the normal hours thing but it's going well. Still employed at the Bar, the sexiest bartending duo in town tore it up as the Mario Bros. last Sat for Halloween. Great night.

Moving into an apartment next week. Guess real life has finally caught up with me for a while. Can this be the end of my traveling and globe trotting??
