Arizona still sucks

So life has been a blast the last 2 some weeks. Farah in Florida ruled besides her eye. Got to see 2 Cardinal spring training games. Baseball is coming soon!!!!!! Then flew back home on St Patrick's day. Worked the Friday and the INSANE Sat day and night. Worked 11 hours that day and it wore me out. Chilled like a villian Sunday, then off to Nashville for a few days to continue celebrating Jessie's birthday. Good music, drinks, and a visit to the holy land (Jack Daniels distillerry). Which was one of the coolest tours I have ever seen. To think every shot of Jack I have done came from that little place in the middle of a dry county. Back home on Wed to work Thur/Fri. Thursday was good with the Illini cruising to an easy win and then for only the second time in 13 years (the first was with final four tickets on the line) I rooted for the hated Arizona Wildcats. There were some great customers in the bar who had a large amount of money on Arizona in a NCAA Calcutta pool. Even though I also lost a dollar to K with Arizona winning, it was still fun to watch people double their money. Sat was my night off and it started with heading to the bar to watch the Illini. Man what a game against my least favorite college team of all time. Incredible comback that almost killed my mother. She is the most nervous person with sporting events of her teams (basically Illini sports and the Cardinals). They won and are off to the Final Four next Sat at 5pm. Come out to the bar where I'll be working and opening early for the game. Going to try to come up with some drink that is very very orange for the games. After the Arizona/Illini game it was a bar hopping affair with Jessie, Jessie's friend Shannon, Jessie's cousin Andrew, Kyle, G, Rich, Kirsten and others randomly at bars. Tons of fun until the top of the hilton, some smoke and climbing down 30 flights of stairs. Ah, back to recapping my life in one paragraph, feels good going back to my blogging roots.

If you're ever out West son, and you feel like slowing down, I'll see you around

Well today was very constructive. Got hotel rooms for 2 trips, flights for another one, Cardinal spring training tickets, and some basic plans. I have tons going on in the next few months with very little worry about a real job. I'm going to be broke by July it looks like, so that will be my settling down time. I saved enough to do what I want this spring though plus a few weeks working at the bar over Easter when everyone is on vacation. Damn, I am enjoying life.

Today was a beautiful day here. Mid seventies and sunny, perfect laying by the pool weather which is what I did between playing travel agent for myself, friends, and family. I love the weather here, a day like this when I hear about people in IL digging snow from around their tires makes me realize why I came in back in Jan. Hopefully when I return in a week the weather in IL will be nice until the next fall. That would be just perfect. No freaky April snow please.

In Cardinal news, pitching head case/super prospect Rick Ankiel decided to give up on pitching and focus on being an outfielder. What a crazy idiot. Good thing this doesn't hurt the Cards at all really. They lose a 3rd left handed arm out of the bullpen, and a guy who was supposedly Cy Young material but who was mentally unable to compete at the major league level. Ah, backstops no longer must be aware. Rest easy Ad's behind homeplate, you're safe now.

I've been looking for ya baby, I've been looking for ya baby

So I'm bored, might as well blog:

It's been over a week since my last internet post. Not too much happend before I left besides a kickass benefit for a close family friend with cancer at the bar. We raised a lot of money for her. Since then I once again did the treck to florida this time in a brand new car, not my braking down in ATL baby. The new Camry drove nice, had great pickup and I made great time. I once again did the Nashville then Atlanta stopovers.

Nashville was a blast on Friday. I stayed with Emily again and her sister was also in town. We went barhopping like mad and had many beers but not as many shots. Good times down on music row. That morning I set my alarm for 8AM. Woke up extremely confused about where I was and why my alarm on my phone was going off. A light bulb appeared and BAM: CARDINAL TICKETS!!!!! I bought 11 games worth, sadly I won't be able to make it to 3 of them I bought: The red sox and 2 yankees games. Hopefully can make a bit of money off them to offest the fact that I almost spent a grand on tickets. Tons of bleacher tickets though and 4 whole Cub games. Also catching Giants, Astros, and an opening weekend game. Doubt I will make it to as many games as last year but we'll see. Baseball kicks major ass.

Back to the drive. This time in Atlanta I stayed with my old roomate from Tulane Abe. Highlights include a free Burrito from Chipolte for wearing a Georiga Tech shirt, showing my fighting game dominance on Soul Caliber 2, and a whirlwind tour of Atlanta bars. Went to East Atlanta, Downtown, 5 points, and some other places I can't remember. Shots were consumed and the night ended at the Bar a block from his place with 24 cans of good old Pabst Blue Ribbon. So good it won a ribbon once.

Florida so far as been shrimp, nice weather, and a reunion with My Baby for 2 great top down days. With a little Cha Cha dance lesson and some drinking to boot.

GO CARDINALS!
