Cookies!!

The one thing that is always good for Christmas time and after is the insane amount of cookies everywhere. We still have 3 kinds of chocolate chip cookies around the house from various sources. Such a great holiday! So overall Christmas was pretty good. Laid back during the day then INSANE at the bar. I mean really busy, Shoo and I busted our asses to get the drinks out leaving us exhusted the next day. Made good money, and even had a good time at 3rd Base, which is my normal x-mas late night drinking spot since the 2 x-mas nights I wasn't out of town I went there (it was known as Rosalie's back then though).

Hope everyone has recovered from the holidays and has good plans for new years. It's Phil, Phil, and me heading to NOLA on Thursday for the weekend. Evidently people in New Orleans get together at City Park on New Years and have a huge bondfire with their used x-mas trees. Should be fun and smokefilled.

Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!! Hope everyone is having a great day and got all the presents they could possibly want. My day was really good, just running around town seeing family. The parents seemed happy with the gifts which is always nice. Well, time for a nap before opening the bar tonight. See ya there!

Yes Virginia, there is a So Taguchi!

So resigned with the Cardinals!!!!!!! Whooo hooo, evidently all the crap about making him a non-tendered free agent was that the Cards wanted to pay him less than they were allowed to. If you tender a free agent you have to match at least 80% of his last salarly (1 mil for So). But the cards got him for the bottom barrel price of $550,000. In other Cardinals news, they have signed relief pitcher Mike Myers, who you may remember from the Halloween movies.

In real life Ed news:
I did get all my X-mas shopping done by the 21st of Dec, the earliest I have ever pulled that off. It was pretty crazy out there at the stores. Not used to the number of women who were still shopping. When I would wait until Christmas Eve with my father every store would be full of the the typical waiting til the last minute male.
Went out Tuesday night, saw the Stillwagon turned Walkobinger family, Shoo, and PhilO. Nothing like spending about an hour at a 3AM bar talking about real life Zombie Strategy. Last night I was at the bar for the Illini, who won very sloppily and didn't cover the spread for the first time all year. But took it easy after that and was a good boy because I have a long weekend ahead of me. Tonight I shall be working the bar at 7 then going out so join me! Tomorrow is X-Mas Eve, so we will be open 3pm to 7ish or later if I'm having fun. Come on out and enjoy Christmas cheer and beer! (plus my mom as my waitress)

Say it ain't no mo SOOOOOOOOO

AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! The Cards did not resign SO TAGUCHI. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! He is now an offically a non-tendered free agent. That's is so totally not very soooooo taguchi of the Cards. Shoo and I will have to come up with a new catch phrase next year.

And PhilO no worries, the 19 year old catcher is Daric Barton, not Yadi. Mr. Molina will be the starting catcher of the Cards next year. In other Cardinal news, Dirty Hat Steve Kline signed with the Angels for more money than the Cards could match, and the Cardinals resigned Mike Lincoln, a relief pitcher who was hurt last year. They also failed to sign Cabrara who went 4 years 32 mil, a little to expensive IMO. So the cards don't have a shortstop yet, watch them get ageless wonder Barry Larkin. They still need a second basemen and a leadoff hitter too. Go Walt Go!

I'm all right, I just can't get home tonight

So Friend Becky was kind enough to link me, and wants me to post more often. K also told me that it is no longer cool to have a blog you don't blog in. So here's to blogging!!!!

Sat was chill, 12 Bars of X-mas early (it's a group that barhops, about 70 people coming into the bar at once) No worries though, I with super bartender Mike so damn smooth night. Sunday was Harry's X-mas party, that's a bar not a person by the way. K and I were there, like always great food and cold beer. Good good times.

Mark Mulder to the Cards. Sounds good to me. Only gave up Haren, Kiko, and a 19 year old catcher. Kiko will be missed with his good set up man skills and very cool name. I predict the Cards will be sooooo taguchi next year.

I also got my first X-Mas present of the year. Last week K gave me Jurrasic Park Box Set. It rocks, dinosaurs rule!!!! I think I should write a musical about Jurassic Park, but that's just me ripping off the Simpsons and their Planet of the Apes musical. That episode was on the other day, classic. Selma marrys Troy McClure, who you might remember from such films as "The Revenge of Abe Lincoln" and "The Wackiest Covered Wagon in the West."

Now, how's that for rambling K. LINK ME SHOO!

So Fridays are not what they seem........

I had my first Friday off in a while, so Shoo and I went to the Jr Blues game (along with Steve, and Katie) Good time even without fights, wish the 2 of us were in a more drinking mood though. I was still feeling the affects of the night before in St Louie. Nothing like a night of Harrah's, Cowboy Mouth, and 12 hours of drinking with my parents. To anyone that doesn't know, my mom can drink with ANYONE and my family when they really go out, they out party 99% of college students easily. Fun fun times there, plus even winning at Pai Gow poker.

Anyway back to Friday, went to the Bar, then off to Catch 22 with Farah, Bailey, Jenny, Shoo and Phil showed up later. Very laid back night that ended with Stella and the Top. Not exactly the jam pack nature I expect from a weekend night off, but I still had a good time though, got the conformation from Phil about New Orleans for New Years. Now that is going to be a damn good time.

Finally, DAMN IT SHOO!!!! trying to upstage me on my own blog!! But good recap of Nov. I don't think I could have done it better myself.

Oh yeah, yay for Friend Becky!!! Finally someone else that links this!! www.gotshoo.com I'm talking to you.

Time to get serious........ about blogging......

Well I missed November, my usual every month updating failed miserably. Oh well, my little blog may not be as cool as gotshoo.com or K's but it's still the little blog that could. On to life:

Not too much is new, I did go to Washington DC for a week which ruled. Other than that just working at the bar still and planning my move to Florida in Jan. Can't wait to leave cold weather and winter behind. Sundays have now become movie night too for Shoo, K and myself. Saw Friday Night Lights, Mr. 3000, and The Incredibles so far. That's about all, if you want detail about my daily life I'm mentioned frequently in gotshoo.com or kylestill5.blogspot.com.
